Customs: Russian car imports fall 7.2% to 25,500 vehicles in Aug

MOSCOW, Oct 8 (PRIME) -- Russian car imports decreased 7.2% on the month to 25,500 in August, the Federal Customs Service said in a statement on Tuesday.

In monetary terms, car imports fell 10.2% to U.S. $650.4 million.

In January–August, car imports grew 5.7% on the year to 196,700 vehicles, or 13.3% to $5.194 billion.

Truck imports contracted 2.1% to 2,400 worth $124 million in August, and went up 18.5% to 18,600 worth $1.302 billion in January–August.
